Days Calculator

What Is a Days Calculator?

A Days Calculator is a free tool that counts the exact number of calendar days, business days (working days), or weeks between any two dates you choose. Whether you need to know how many days until an upcoming deadline, calculate a contract duration, count the days remaining until an event, track a project timeline, or verify the length of a notice period — our DaniProTools Days Calculator gives you the precise answer instantly without any manual counting.

Date calculations are deceptively tricky to do by hand — months have different numbers of days, leap years add an extra day, and counting backwards or forward across year boundaries is error-prone. Our calculator eliminates all of these complications automatically.

How to Use the Days Calculator

  1. Enter the start date in the first date field
  2. Enter the end date in the second date field
  3. Select whether to count calendar days (all days) or business days (excluding weekends)
  4. Click 'Calculate'
  5. See the exact number of days, weeks, months, and years between the two dates

Calendar Days vs Business Days — What's the Difference?

  • Calendar Days: Every single day is counted — including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Used for contract durations, visa requirements, and legal notice periods.
  • Business Days / Working Days: Only Monday to Friday are counted — weekends and public holidays are excluded. Used for shipping timelines, bank processing, payroll, and project planning.
  • Example: 14 calendar days starting from a Monday = 10 business days (excluding 2 weekends).
  • Many legal and financial contracts specify business days — always clarify which type applies to your situation.

Adding or Subtracting Days From a Date

Our Days Calculator also works in reverse — you can add or subtract a specific number of days from a start date to find the resulting end date. This is useful for:

  • Calculating a contract end date from start date + duration
  • Finding the last day of a warranty period
  • Determining when a 30, 60, or 90-day notice period ends
  • Calculating the due date for an invoice with net-30, net-60, or net-90 payment terms

Q: Is the Days Calculator free?

A: Yes, completely free. Calculate the number of days between any two dates with no account required.

Q: How many days are there in 2026?

A: 2026 has 365 days. It is not a leap year — the next leap year after 2024 is 2028.

Q: How do I calculate working days between two dates?

A: Select the 'Business Days' option in our calculator before clicking Calculate. The tool automatically excludes all Saturdays and Sundays from the count.

Q: Does the Days Calculator account for public holidays?

A: Our standard calculator excludes weekends when counting business days. Public holidays vary by country and are not automatically excluded, as they differ significantly by region. If you need to account for specific public holidays, subtract them from the business day count manually.

Enjoy the little things in life. For one day, you may look back and realize they were the big things. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
